David Frühbuß

Artifical Intelligence Researcher

I’m an interdisciplinary AI researcher and PhD candidate in AI for biomedicine, advised by Karsten Borgwardt (MPI Biochemistry) and Maria Brbić (EPFL). I build machine-learning methods for complex disease, with a focus on foundation models of the immune system—combining geometric deep learning, generative modeling, and multimodal biological data to enable more precise, mechanism-aware therapies. I’m also engaged with AI safety and biosecurity and happy to connect people to strong communities in the field.
